How Does IT Work?


​How do you select the products?

In our shop, every gift is created from scratch. Based on your budget and the preferences of the recipient, we choose items from Tailored Touches' 'good for you' handcrafted products or foodie products from our sister company, RVA to Go. We can also take special requests (e.g., a specific item you want included, if you want to include your business card, etc). Each gift is made to suit the recipient so that they have a gift made "just for them"!

What is RVA to Go?

RVA to Go is our sister company that offers locally-sourced foodie items that all Richmonders know and love. We will sometimes include RVA to Go products if you mention your recipient is a foodie or if s/he has a connection to Richmond. You can see the list of items available from RVA to Go here if you'd like to make a special request.

Can I provide details about the recipient?

Yes! We welcome it. We especially appreciate any information on favorite colors, scents, hobbies, etc. Dislikes are just as important, too. If someone hates a scent, tell us! You can also let us know if your recipient has a bath tub (mmm, bath bombs!) or if they have a beard (we have a great beard oil!). If there's a specific item you like from our shop or from our inspiration gallery, please let us know. 

How do I pay?

When you click "Make my Gift," you'll choose your budget and fill out a simple form. Then you'll check out like normal with your billing and shipping info. Give it a try! If you speak to us directly, we'll send you a QucikBooks invoice. If you're not comfortable paying through our website, just email us with your request, and we'll send you a QuickBooks invoice instead.

How do I know what was sent and that I got my money's worth?

We carefully select an assortment of items that - along with gift wrapping, the gift note, and any custom requests - hits your budget (or sometimes exceeds it... on us!). We'll send you a list of items as well so you can see if you think you got your money's worth! We think you will!

How fast does it ship?

We strive to get your order to you as quickly as possible! Shipments will go out in 2-3 business days unless the order is large (i.e., over $150) or particularly customized, in which case you will be notified of the shipping date.

Because all items are made-to-order, changes and cancellations must be made within 24 hours of ordering by emailing [email protected].  See our full shipping policy. 

How do I know when it was sent?

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with the tracking info included. You'll know just when your gift has arrived!

Do you have vegan products?

Yes! We have a handful of vegan products, including for babies. Just ask! Read more about our ingredients!

Will you be my Gift Concierge all year?

Yes! Think of us as your personal gift concierge. Email, call, or check out online anytime with your gift requests. 

Can I set up re-occurring gifts?

Of course! Just email us, and we'll map out a plan.

Eek! What about last minute gifts?

We can usually help with a last minute gift and find products that will suit the recipient. We'll tell you if we can't!
